Desert Haze

One of the new nail polishes I ordered from ELF - and one of my favourites!

The polish goes on really smoothly, and after two coats is lovely and opaque. It dried quickly, unlike some ELF polishes, and so far hasn't chipped. All in all, very impressed :)

I did the French Tip in Beige Babe 397 by Rimmel London and then put Pro Matte Finish over the top, also by Rimmel.

Quick snap of my jewellery storage idea for my university room. I tried to keep everything on my bamboo calendar but it was too heavy for the hooks and kept falling off! >:(

So I stole an idea from one of my flatmates and bought 20 sticky hooks for £1, and they work BRILLIANTLY!
Perfect for necklaces and bracelets, though I still have my earring on the calendar :)

Feeling the Attraction

Hello there lovelies :)

Just thought I'd do a quick post on a new line of 17 Nail Polishes that are coming out. They're called the Magnetized Nail Polishes and they look so freaking cool. 

They come in four colours; a green, purple, grey and blue and have a magnet built into the lid. All you need to do is paint a coat onto your nails, then hold the lid / magnet over the wet polish for about 10 seconds to create an awesome ripple effect! Wows! :)

They look so pretty, and coming from 17 they probably won't do too much damage to your purse! 

I've never seen anything like this, the idea is so unique yet so effective!

Farewell Summer!

Sadly it seems that summer, at least for the UK, is now over. With thunderstorms and constant showers now a constant on the weather forecast, it's time to update our wardrobes with some lovely items to keep us snug this Autumn.

I've fallen in love with big, chunky knit cardigans that are lovely and warm, but also look cool and casual just thrown on over a pair of jeans and a vest top. These are a few of my favourites.

I love the pattern on this cardigan, almost a little bit tribal.

Summer Eyes and Nails

I love the colours of summer, especially oranges and yellows, so here's a look I put together quickly that was inspired by those colours...

The nail colour is Sherbet Lemon by 17, available at Boots.

BaByliss Waving Wand = Win

Lately I've been wanting to do something a bit different with my hair, I'm so bored of it straight and flat. Unfortunately, me and curling never got on. One side would be fine, the other... not so good.

So when BaByliss came out with the Waving Wand, I was really excited. I saw a few videos on You Tube showing how it worked and I loved the effect.
 So when I saw the smexy thing for £15 (half price!!) in Tesco, I (literally) leaped at the chance to get one.

I tried it out tonight, and I'm in love with it. It doesn't have a clamp, so you just wrap your hair around the barrel to create waves. There are several heat settings going all the way up to 200 degrees so it'll suit any hair type.

It also came with a shiny heat proof glove, with is stretchy and kinda weird feeling, but if it stops me burning me fingers, I'm not complaining!

One thing that may become a little annoying is that you have to adjust the heat setting to your preferred temperature every time you switch it on, which is different from everything else I have that just stays the same. Then again, because it's digital you'll get exactly the same heat each time, and it only takes roughly 30 seconds, so I can forgive it that little detail.

Here are the results from my first use, not perfect, but not bad either!

Minty Nails :)

I love minty nail polishes. This is Peppermint by Rimmel Lycra Pro.

A gorgeous mint colour, it claims to last up to 10 days, and so far it's holding out quite nicely. The maxi brush is really useful, you can do most of your nail in one stroke. The polish needs two coats to get a nice opaque colour, it goes on smoothly, and when I bought it I got 2 for £8 at Boots :)

2NE1 is The Best

Who? I know the feeling, if they don't sing in english, you won't listen to them. But hear me out for a minute.

2NE1 (pronounced 'To Anyone' or '21') are a korean band formed by YG Entertainment. They have 4 fabulous members; CL, Dara, Bom and Minzy. The girls have won buckets of awards, topped charts consistently and produced serious cases of wardrobe envy in all their videos (what I wouldn't do to get my hands on those outfits....)

They have a really distinct style, a bit of R&B, a bit of Dance, but every single song they do has been a success and sounds awesome!

Why am wittering on about them? Well their new single "I Am The Best" is release on 24th June at Midnight - and I am so freaking excited!!




I love practically all of their songs and I know this one will be no different. My current faves are "Follow Me", "Don't Stop The Music" and "Can't Nobody (english version)".

So please, please pop over the their YouTube channel to see the teasers of the new song, and have a nose at their TV series, where you can get to know the girls better and see them at work :)
